Vessel, 2010, Marine-grade plywood and steel, 120"x96"x110"

The wooden planking is cut in the shape of two concrete poems composed of fragments from my poetry practice, and assembled in a clinker-style lapstrake. These linguistic fragments, or ‘image-phrases,’ have been assembled based on their end and start sounds and the physical dimensions of the object.
